Travel Contract

Rescue America agrees to provide safe transportation and confirmation of safe arrival to the partner home. During my time of traveling with Rescue America, whether by car, bus, train, or plane, and upon my time of arrival to the safe home that I am placed in, I — and any dependents who are in my care, agree to the following:

  1. I agree to not travel with or conceal any kind of weapon or firearm (loaded or unloaded), ammunition, or firearm parts.

  2. I agree to not travel with or conceal any sharp objects, knives, or needles. For medical purposes only, if you have needles, syringes, and other items needed for medication, they must be properly covered for safety and secured to prevent injury. Please tell the Exit Strategist prior to traveling if you will need to use a needle/syringe while traveling, and notify the Flight Attendant for medical purposes so they may provide a disposal container

  3. I agree to not smoke or vape while in transit on transportation. E-cigarettes are designed to operate by creating heat, and must be placed in a carryon bag or with you onboard. E-cigarettes aren’t allowed in checked bags. Passengers are also allowed to travel with one lighter, which must be in your carryon or with you onboard. Note: lighters with fuel are prohibited in checked bags.

  4. I agree to not use drugs or conceal drugs or drug paraphernalia during travel or upon arrival at the partner home. Partner homes require drug tests and this could forfeit your open bed and availability. This could also result in being sent to the emergency room or rehab facility until you can provide a negative test result to return.

  5. I agree to not travel with or be under the influence of alcohol during any duration of the trip. I also agree to not purchase any alcohol on flights or while under this travel contract with Rescue America.

  6. I agree to not travel with pepper spray or a taser - these are considered weapons.

  7. I agree to not travel with a pet of any kind without notifying Rescue America first, and this being part of my acceptance prior to placement arrangement.

  8. I agree to only travel with the medicine that has been prescribed to me by my doctor.

  9. I agree to only travel with liquids on planes that meet the requirements to be 3.4 oz (100mL) or less. This includes aerosol, gels, creams, and pastes in my carry on bag.
