Re-Engagement Policy
Rescue America understands that many dynamics may affect our engagement with you. We have established specific policies to help navigate these needs during your time with us. We have 2 re-engagement levels that are deployed for specific reasons as we assist in serving you. We expect mutual honor and cooperation to guide the interactions between all parties involved. In the following, you will find our 2-week and 30-day re-engagement policies explained.
As your exit day approaches it is important that you consider the significant transition you are making. You will be settling into a new community - often in a completely new location and with a new group of people. We have learned that this transition may take you a couple of weeks to navigate and can require some real adjustments by you. We encourage you to lean into your new community of caring staff - especially in any difficult moments. In order to support you best ...
Rescue America will not re-engage with you during your 2-week transition period
2-Week Re-Engagement Policy
If you choose to leave placement before this 2-week period, Rescue America cannot guarantee assistance and will not re-engage until the end of the 2 week period.
After the 2-week transition period is over, you may contact us if you feel the placement is not a good fit for you. There is no guarantee that Rescue America will be able to find a different solution but we will serve you.
Be advised that Rescue America may speak to your current placement about the transition period to gain any insight as we search for options for you. We hope to offer the best fit to you.
30-Day Re-Engagement Policy
Our 30-day re-engagement period is deployed when honorable interactions are breached and conflict results either during the Rescue America engagement or at the placement home. Physical altercations, disrespectful encounters and strife will not be tolerated. This policy will be enacted for the following reasons:
Verbally combative with any of the Rescue America Exit Community or placement home staff.
Physical altercations resulting in dismissal from the placement home.
Any destructive behavior resulting in your Rescue America case closing or dismissal from placement.
Breach of agreements with Rescue America.
Misuse of Rescue America resources provided for your care.
Willingly leaving the program prior to completion. A review of the reason will determine if it warrants a 30-day re-engagement.
At the end of the re-engagement period, you may call the 24/7 Hotline. Rescue America reserves the right to delay re-engagement depending upon the reasons for the policy being activated.
Let me be clear, the Anointed One has set us free—not partially, but completely and wonderfully free! We must always cherish this truth and stubbornly refuse to go back into the bondage of our past.
