Communication and Engagement Guidelines

Rescue America is ready to come alongside you and help you find the best next step. Additional conversations will be required to discuss options and solutions. It will be your responsibility to maintain contact throughout the engagement and respond quickly to any inquiries from your Rescue America Exit Team, placement homes, or other supportive services. You may be asked to participate in placement interviews with placement homes. Rescue America expects you to be present for these interviews as they will be scheduled with your consideration in mind. Rescue America is committed to timely interactions and updates. We will update you regularly and are available to answer any questions or concerns you may have.

Specific Guidelines

  • Return missed calls or texts within 2 hours unless prior arrangement has been made or there are concerns for safety.

  • Any 24 hour gap in your response will result in your case being closed. It is perceived that you are not serious and ready to move forward.

  • If you are staying in a hotel, you are expected to respond to missed calls in 15 minutes.

  • Missed placement interviews may result in your case being closed - Finding placements and scheduling conversations on your behalf requires a lot of work. Failure to show up is perceived as disinterest and reason to close your case.

Should your case be closed due to no response from you, you will be required to call the 24/7 Hotline when you are ready to engage again. Rescue America reserves the right to delay reengagement up to 30 days depending upon the reasons for your non-responsiveness.

Let me be clear, the Anointed One has set us free—not partially, but completely and wonderfully free! We must always cherish this truth and stubbornly refuse to go back into the bondage of our past.
